During the fall semester of my senior year in high school, I lived in California and attended The Woolman Semester, an activist and environmentalist semester program in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Between hours spent in the garden harvesting squash and late nights in our cabins writing papers about capitalism and corporate personhood, we had to find time to produce documentaries on one of the topics we had learned about in our Peace Studies class. The following is what we were able to create in the short amount of time we were given. The purpose of this documentary is not to offend but to educate and hopefully raise awareness. Sure there's a pretty obvious bias, but the interviewees were picked at random and the editing of the interviews is pretty minor.
